Responsible Beverage Server Training is for servers or alcohol managers. This is regulated training that teaches you about signs of intoxication, minors and alcohol, techniques you can use to stop service and the laws and regulations in the state of California.
Beginning July 1, 2022 RBS training is required statewide for all On-premise workers, bartenders, waiters, managers and licensees. Beginning April 21, 2021 our new course meets this new requirement.
The California ABC requires that you register as an Alcohol Server with them. There is a $3.00 registration fee for the state. The link to register is abcbiz.abc.ca.gov.
The state will provide you with a RBS Identification Number. You will need to enter this number to begin our course. At the end of the training course you will receive an email with instructions regarding how to take the ABC exam. Our school will upload your training to the state within 1 day of you finishing the course.
You will need to do this every 3 years to maintain your RBS certification.
The state issued certificate is valid for 3 years.
The New AB 1221 RBS certification is valid for 3 years.
The final exam is at the ABC website and as a training provider we have not been shown the final exam, however the practice exam on this course was approved to meet the official exam requirements.
You will take your final exam in your Server Account at the ABC/RBS state website. You have 3 chances to pass the exam. If you fail all 3 attempts, you are required to take a new training course and pay an additional $3.00 application fee to the state.

On the Payment Information page, enter the card information and other required information for the person whose card you are using. Click "Complete Order" to save this information.
On the Payment Information page during enrollment, verify your card type, card number and expiration date. Click "Complete Order" to save the updated payment information and then attempt to purchase the course again.
You will need to call the customer service number on the back of your credit card to verify that you have the required funds to complete the transaction.

We offer corporate accounts for any establishment that has several employees that need their RBS certification. A corporate account is free to set up and easy to use. We will create a special code that your employees will use to access the online RBS training course. Each month, we will send you an invoice and a report of your employees that enrolled in the RBS training course. If you would like to set up a corporate account, simply fill out our online Corporate Account Request Form and we will contact you within 24 business hours to set up your account.
Yes, after enrolling in the online course, you can start the course whenever you are ready. You have six months from the date you purchase to complete it, unless otherwise stated on course information page.
Your position in the online course is saved as you advance through each scene. You will always begin from where you last left off. You have six months from the date you purchase the course to complete it, unless otherwise stated on course information page.
* Please note that some final exams are timed. If you close the course while in a timed final, you will have to start over from the beginning of the course. You will be warned if the final exam is timed.
No, you can log in/log out of the online training at anytime. Your position in the course will be saved and you will continue from where you last left off when you log in again.

Yes, the courses/exams on our website are mobile friendly and will work on smart phones, tablets and desktop computers. The course will work best on newer versions of web browsers.
