California RBS Training
Online Course & Exam

Our online RBS training course meets all the necessary state requirements for you to receive your official California responsible beverage service training certificate. You can view our RBS training program approval on the California Department of Alcoholic Beverage Control website.

Certification:
Valid for 2 years from the date of course completion, unless otherwise mandated by your local jurisdiction

Length of Course: 2 hours

Getting your RBS Training Certificate:
Upon completion of our online California Responsible Beverage Service (RBS) Training course, you can print your official California RBS training certificate. Your certificate will also be emailed to the email address we have on file so you can print it later if needed, or you can log back into your account at anytime to retrieve your certificate.

Renewing your RBS Training Certificate:
You must take the entire California Responsible Beverage Service (RBS) Training course and exam again every 2 years to renew your certification (unless otherwise mandated by your local jurisdiction). There is not a shorter renewal course.

NOTE: Some jurisdictions in California do require RBS training for their servers, managers, and other staff. The list below is NOT all inclusive. Check with your local jurisdiction for more information about requirements in your area.

• City of Solana Beach – RBS training is required within 30 days of being hired. Certification is valid for 3 years from the date of course completion.
• City of Berkeley – RBS training is required within 90 days of being hired. Certification is valid for 2 years from the date of course completion.
• City of Rohnert - RBS training is required within 60 days of being hired.
• City of Petaluma - RBS training is required within 90 days of being hired. Certification is valid for 3 years from the date of course completion.
